Brick Arch Repair, Downtown Charleston, SC
The Brick Arch Storm system built around 1850 in the City of Charleston occasionally requires maintenance as shown by this collapsed section in the roadway.
Recently, on a project in the City, Palmetto Gunite placed a new access manhole and

strengthened the collapsed section with shotcrete to restore the tunnel to service and to
allow access for future maintenance.
