Structural Concrete Repair & Corrosion Protection
Here in the Lowcountry, coastal conditions and high humidity can accelerate concrete deterioration and steel corrosion. At Palmetto Gunite, we take a comprehensive approach to structural concrete repair to ensure long-term strength, durability, and safety.
For this project, our team removed damaged stucco, chipped out deteriorated concrete, and exposed the reinforcing steel. All rusted rebar was thoroughly sandblasted to remove corrosion, and any compromised reinforcing steel was replaced to restore full structural integrity.
Once the reinforcement was properly prepared, we applied high-strength shotcrete to rebuild and strengthen the structure, restoring it to its original design capacity.
To further protect the repaired areas, we applied FerroGard® Corrosion Protection Treatment, helping prevent future deterioration caused by moisture intrusion, salt exposure, and environmental conditions common in coastal regions.
